Traffic Troopers “Spotlight Award” is designed to appreciate exceptional employee accomplishments. It is for employees who go that extra mile in terms of one or combination of the following:
- Safety
- Performance
- Service
- Professional Development Milestone
Program Objectives
- Foster a culture that appreciates a special performance.
- Recognizes an outstanding service.
- Acknowledges safety and innovative employee effort.
- Acknowledges accepted ideas for improvement, while at the same time promoting loyalty and encouraging a positive work ethic.
- Encourages and recognizes milestones in individual professional development.
- Recognizes employee individual efforts in furthering Traffic Troopers goals and mission.
Spotlight Awards
Spotlight Awards are proposed by Traffic Troopers – Operational Manager. Spotlight Awards may be presented to an individual or to a team of employees. There are three categories:
- Spotlight #1: Exceptional Service
- Spotlight #2: Exceptional Performance
- Spotlight #3: Exceptional Professional Development Milestone

Spotlight #1: Exceptional Service Award
Recognizes exceptional service acts in categories including, but not limited to:
- Contributes to an excellent Traffic Troopers reputation
- Share our Safety 1st initiative with others
- Protect themselves, our clients and the public
- Great communication with foreman and TTI Office
- Provides advanced flagging operations and traffic control
- Serve with integrity and professionalism
Spotlight #2: Exceptional Performance Award
This award recognizes a singular contribution to shaping Traffic Troopers’ future through:
- Safety: Employee goes beyond the call of duty contributing to Traffic Troopers risk reduction and/or safety goals.
- Dedication: Willingness, initiative and perseverance.
- Integrity: Demonstrates moral and ethical principles.
- Respect: A commitment to honoring leadership and the diversity of others.
- Trust: Can be counted on and gives their best every day and on every job project.
- Efficiency: Employee enhances mission results, increases revenue or decreases expense to an exceptional degree with measurable results.
Spotlight #3: Exceptional Professional Development Milestone
This award recognizes a notable professional development milestone:
- Employee earns an accredited Safety program certificate.
- Employee earns professional certification.
- Employee shows considerable significance in work ethics and communication.
Award recipients receive:
- Spotlight Award certificate from Traffic Troopers
- Choice of either a Restaurant gift card OR Walmart gift card (value $25-$100)
- Recognition on Employee resource website.
